Linguists tried their best to do what they do best: block and foul like it was going out of fashion. 53 vs 31 blocks, plenty of them with mighty blow, and 10 vs 2 fouls, including one which promised to kill a legend... but apothecary intervened, so no Elven Union skulls were collected for the clubhouse.

Excellent long elfball plays were performed textbook style by Relezite, back to back two-turners almost all game long. There was some attrition, and he was down to 7 players on the pitch a lot of the time, but with players like that, who needs numbers.

Linguists had 210k of inducements and opted for two bribes rather than hiring Eldril... considering how much the Brigade passed the ball around, Eldril might have been a good choice... but we did get to use both bribes, which was a good feeling.

Nuffle did have it in for the dark elves to some extent. Twice during the game they failed to score at the last possible second, snaking the last 2+ roll to score at least a consolation touchdown... this is the game we play, and the opponent did an excellent job making me roll all those dice and burning through those rerolls. I did use up a few rerolls on rerolling pushes just to try to get a mighty blow block in the right place, and that punished me when it was time for ball handling. Will try to be more disciplined with that in games to come.

No permanent damage to either team, but I'm down a witch going into the next game. On the bright side, mighty blow MA8 blitzer Marwari rolled another double and now has Guard, my first guard piece on this team.
