“The Plebeians faced up to Undead. We arrived on a great run of form, though still carrying some rookie Blitzers and loners.
There was a riot. Then we went up the flank, a bit risky with a Frenzy Wight about. Fortunately a lino bringing a double skulls out of a zombie helped us get by. Still a little hairy in the blizzard but Jesiah had space to get through to score.
A ghoul had the ball and went past halfway. Jesiah dodged through for a big takedown chance..but he couldn't tackle it down! Perhaps I should have tried to dodge the catcher in first to help. The Ghoul then dodged away and managed a handoff to their agile Wight to equalize. We unusually used an apo on a KO during this defence.
With another riot we had a little time left but Jesiah disappointingly fumbled his pass chance. So half-time it was 1-1.
Second half a Wight had the ball. We stood strong for the 3rd quarter of the match. It was slow progress from halfway for them. Players like Zeinhart and Topis did some impressive, risky blocks to knock their mummies down and back. But just as it seemed the pressure may tell to give us a chance we had a Blitzer trip up and then a Mummy cas'd the boy. When Marius was badly hurt too our defence unwound and their Wight just had time to get by on the flank.
The match ended with us 2-1 down after a long kick and another Jesiah fumble. The Butcher at least managed one casualty in his anger.

Our 6 game winning and 10 game unbeaten record was ended by a strong coach. There wasn't a lot of opportunities to steal the ball today. But at least after the match we get enough money for a no journeymen lineup for the first time in 12! Although a lot more needed for an Ogre.”
