“Report by the FAMILY

The FAMILY starts in defence. The dwarfs quickly commit to the side opposite to where the ball landed. A failed pickup would be a catastrophe for their drive, but Nuffles forgives them. The FAMILY conservatively defends from a reasonable distance, and exploit a missing cage corner to send THE ONE blitzing the ball carrier. Skull. RR. Skull. Nuffles forgives the dwarfs once again for their mistakes. TOOTHLESS GRAMMA badly hurts an hobgoblin causing the first removal. But DAD tries to dodge out after a blitz (misclick) leaving the FAMILY quite out of position. The dwarfs advance and PRINCESS skulls a decisive block which would have allowed access to the ball carrier. The dwarfs once again leave the ball carrier in the open but HIPPIE AUNTIE fails a decisive dodge which would have likely saved the day. The first half ends with the FAMILY suffering their first TD.

In the second half pouring rain and a kick next to the TD line make for a dangerous combination. The dwarfs put pressure and two pickups are failed. The bounces are against the FAMILY and the ball gets out of bounds. The crowd throws it back in next to the sideline and in range of a bull and a hobgoblin, who must be blinded by the pouring rain and mysteriously retreat to the LoS to punch zombies instead of paying any attention to the ball. PRINCESS finally manages to pick up the slippery ball and a cage is finally formed. The dwarfs still blinded by the rain keep punching zombies by the LoS and let the cage advance undisturbed. A lonely hobgoblin notices the cage by turn 6 but it's now too little and too late, and the FAMILY spends the last few turns stalling before scoring, wondering whether they should have instead scored a bit faster hoping in a 2-1 miracle.
