“I think at 13 games it's time to call this Chaos Dwarf experiment done.
Either recent sleep deprivation is getting to me, or I haven't clicked with the right CD play style, or this particular team is just a sad, misshapen sack of failure.
Could be all three combined.
There have been some interesting moments.
* Our first game, our opponents scored the 2-1 on t16 with a 3+2+4+4+6+5+3+2+2+ sequence (2.2% chance of success including rerolls)
* We lost 2 players to GFI RIPs, a Sure Hands Leader Hobo (snaked) and a rookie bull. These happened in 2 separate games against the same Norse team. In both games, early cas and scatters+catches caused us some headache (also my own tactical choices).
* There was a game against some Undead where both sides took heavy damage - high armor rolls all around. Looking at chance to break AV9, disregarding skills, the UD succeeded 35% of the time and the CDwarves 30%. In the end, the CD had 5 players left on T15 vs 8 and could not stop the opposing score.
* In that game, Squeezi singlehandedly foul-niggled a Mummy, no regen.
* The final game vs dwarves, the winning td was scored after a -2DB knockdown and (importantly) stun on a bull. The last resort 1d blitz failed (skull->push). There was a distinct poorly placed hobo on my part which could have made the score harder.
With working CMb and good tactical choices, CD are certainly a very powerful team. I do resent the lack of mobility (BT bull is some remedy). Might try them again some day when I've gotten more shut-eye.”
