“Pre-game
The Waaargh rolls on, albeit this time back home to celebrate the opening of the Orcidas@Lump-Zum ArenA. Prior the game there had been whispered rumour that this could be be day, the moment where the stars aligned.... literally.

Would it be? Could it be? Lump and Ripper on the same field standing shoulder to shoulder?

The second his blue silhouette was cast on the overhead screens the crowd went wild! This was going to be the passing of the torch!

Given the chaos in the stands, only 4 lucky hopefuls were added to the L.A.D.S. numbers. Others were asked but were overcome by this momentous day and fainted in the presence of their heroes.

L.A.D.S. took a healthly 20-11 lead onto the field. Would these pompous Bretonnians spoil the party?

At the coin toss, the Beastslayers chose to receive the ball and L.A.D.S. were ready to get their game on.

Kick Off
L.A.D.S. 20-11 Bastonne Beastslayers

Despite an extra Snotling sneaking onto the field, the Beastslayers quickly got to work and L.A.D.S. were immediately outnumbered. Things were looking rough until the Brets looked to pass the ball deep into the danger zone, only for the pigskin to spill loose. Clart cleared out the tacklezones and Nipee scooped up the ball.

Whilst Nipee bided his time waiting for a gap in Bret's defence, Bom proved to still be ring-rusty. A few wayward bombs, followed by a rather embarrassing moment where he tripped over his own stockpile and smashed up his knee.

Eventually Nipee found a way through and the L.A.D.S. screen protected the ball. Shortly before halftime, the score was on the board and the Interval came shortly after.

Half Time
L.A.D.S. 21-11 Bastonne Beastslayers

A kerfuffle at halftime saw money seemingly exchanging hands with the officials but somehow the Cabalvision Sport Wagon was still excluded from the game. Despite that setback, L.A.D.S. knew a very health 10 point lead put them in a strong position to see out the game.

Perhaps L.A.D.S. got too complacent, because much of the second half was littered with Pump Wagons and Trolls getting distracted from the task in hand. Eventually Wiz was able to lead a little breakaway shielded by the Orca-Cola Roller and Clart but the Beastslayers caught up with them. Wiz went for a dash to the only to find a stilt caught in the turf and spilled the ball. Fortunately for L.A.D.S. it landed under the protection of Clart, and the game was seen out with noone likely to retrieve it form under the hulking troll.

The L.A.D.S. trundle on, 6-0. Next stop some big Ol' Orcs and the chance to match the record for winning streak by a debuting team. Watch out Divine Wind, we're after your crown!
