It was week 2 of the season and L.A.D.S. were going in looking for that landmark 25th win. A bunch of zombies seemed to be in town for the game, it was going to be easy, right?
They took to the field fully confidence of the win. What they failed to notice was a berobed figure in the opposition dugout muttering quiet incantations. What did this Sourcerer have in store?

Kick Off
L.A.D.S. 19-15 Tempelhof Wolves
The half began with (and maintain throughout) Snotlings flailing around and tripping over their feet with impressive frequency. The only thing that seems to work was the power of Hak's boot taking out two of the Wolves. If you'd not been paying attention you'd say L.A.D.S. put in a classic Zombie performance.
It was only when the actual zombies began gaily pirouetted and dancing out of tackle zones regularly, that the penny dropped. The Necromancer has managed some sort of mind swap. It was no wonder Lump and Clart sat out nearly all the match, they was so little consciousness in them to begin with that the spell probably couldn't find anything to grab onto inside those skulls.
Fortunately amongst all this the local 'bomb-for-hire' mercenary was able to notch up a couple of scores to support Hak's prodigious fouling and allow L.A.D.S. to open up a 6 point lead going into the break. A Wolves touchdown and foul unable to reduce the deficit.

L.A.D.S. 23 - 17 Tempelhof Wolves
Perhaps it was the weakening of the Necromancer's spell but only 10 of 19 L.A.D.S. were able to take to the field after halftime. Within minutes that was down to 8, but despite those limitations Lugz was able to sneak the ball through a crowd and sneak off down field for a breakaway TD. Not before, of course, a zombie-addled Skip failed 2 easy pickup attempts.
With just 7 L.A.D.S. left on the field the rest of the game was damage limitation. A seven point lead looking reasonable safe. Whilst the result was safe, the L.A.D.S. were not, by the end of the half only Lugz remained on the field, cowering in the corner. It didn't matter though, another Stomp score and a TD wasn't going to be enough.
25 wins! Who could have predicted such a dominant start for Lump an' da Snots.
