They removed two submariners in the first drive and Seaman Desmond crushed his own skull trying to headbutt Moss Lichgate. Blue meanie was also no use, the fungal toxins that brough about his undeath seemed to persist in his sytems. Feeling the pressure Sgt Pepper had to score early to secure the touchdown.

Although they had more than a half of a half to score in response, and Sgt Pepper continued to be completely enraged by his team's early performance for the whole match, The Skabs were not able to score in response. Ace Scaley who was supposed to be screening Muscle of love was hypnotised by Eleanor Rigby. The swaying of her greasy locks, matched the timing of his one time hit Dark lights and disrupted Chappedman's necromancy long enough to let the Mariner's Sgt pepper a Muscle of Love. The crowd ate it up. Yum.

After the throw in The Skabs looked like they might retake possession of the ball, but even with Bodhi Holder smashing Eleanor Rigby's knee, it was too late to score the touchdown needed to threaten a win.

The second half is where it came apart for the Skabs. Despite being 3 players up at half time the skabs instead of playing safe using their numerical advantage pushed hard on the southern side of the pitch. The Mariners expertly landed a kick on the unguarded northern side of the line of scrimmage. Swarming over the ball like it was a bordello during shore leave the Mariners were able to keep the Skabs from taking possession of the ball. And that was it. Chappedman couldn't keep his dark magics together while he agonised over the failure of his dark magics.

Great play from the Mariners especially given their numbers disadvantage, how much raging Sgt Pepper did, and the trip that Blue Meanie was on.
