“I don't know what to do with this team. Their first 6 games, they were 5-1-0, taking down dwarves, norse, nurgle, and lizards. They were magical. But then reality came crashing back down, and they became merely average. But it's games like this one which make me wonder if the team needs to continue at all! I swear we weren't facing dark elves, but chaos in disguise! We started the game already outnumbered, and when multiple cas occurred in the first few turns it just kept getting worse. The rain didn't seem to hamper my opponent at all, but it meant I couldn't pick up the ball to throw it until my fourth or fifth try. With sure-handed elves, no less.

It was just one of those games which a man suffers through, and then has to go drink a little to forget. My star blitzer suffered her av drop in turn 7 of the second half, after which my thrower, disgusted with the whole game, unloaded on his kicker. A 1d-no rr-block put Powat down for good, so we'll never know what his skill would've been.

A rematch might be in the works somewhere down the road, but not until my girls have had a chance to recover from what should've been a recovery game...it was so bad, the MVP went to the one girl smart enough not to even show up for the game (MNG from previous)! And how about hitting his elf with my strip-ball elf, pushback to jar the ball loose, only to have the ball scatter right back into the hands of the same exact elf? Or that blasted blitzer intercepting a pass despite being in my tz? It just wasn't meant to be today, and now I must wonder if it's meant to be for the team at all. They're getting pretty beat up, with no end in sight....”
