“The Hellbringers looked to be in a bit of strife whtn their Troll Smasher Vomitflesh pulled up sore before the match for the 4th time in the last 6 matches. To the surprise of all (and the concern of the Pure Thought), the Hellbringers decided to use their allotment of magic sponges to get Smasher match ready instead of saving them for an in match injury!

The Hellbringers powered their way forward in the first half, smashing High Elves everywhere as they scored their first TD just short of halfway into the opening period. The Hellbringers were unusually brutal today, fouling regularly as their fans had stormed the pitch at the beginning of the match and killed the ref!

The Pure Thought then lined up for their offence and started to make good field position, but crucially, left their thrower with the ball deep in their backfield. This thrower soon found himself sandwiched by two Bull Centaurs.

The Thought managed to protect the ball and move it downfield, but not securely enough as the Hellbringers recovered the ball and scored a second TD late in the first half.

The second period started with the Hellbringers blitzing the Pure Thought and putting them under intense pressure, but the badly outnumbered Elves managed to protect the ball and score their first TD for the match.

The Hellbringers on the final kick off then powered towards the end zone, and it looked as if the game was well over. However, the Hellbringers then tried a cheeky handoff that wasn't required (wanted my 2nd Bull Centaur to score) and the ball fell loose!

The plucky Pure Thought managed to get the ball and hurl it back downfield past the line of scirmmage! The Hellbringers recovered the ball, then lost it again.

A tense struggle ensued but eventually it was the Hellbringers who had the ball and they managed to hold off the Pure Thought.

Another very fun match against Screener. It was a funny match, with me getting a blitz at the end of the first half, then another at the beginning of the second!

The injuries and KOs came thick and fast... and I tried desperately to kill the line-elf named Screener, but he survived LOL.
