#10 Sakkariat 'Shadowmelder' Varuk – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#9 Sachin 'Soulblighted' Tyrellian – Dead (RIP)
Onto the pitches of the PBL once again...and the only malevolence they found was in a raging nuffly storm hovering over their half of it.

They were always going to be up against it after their first game left them short on numbers for this match. A blitz on the kickoff and two SI's barely into the game didn't leave the few fans much to cheer about. Not much else went right in the first half, though the second half saw the lads make an amusing run against the drive to give the fans one story at least.

On the plus side, the replacement apothecary was fair dincum this time around. Too many charlatans plying their trade around the PBL!

Good game Cloggy, didn't have to do much, but did it right and despite me suffering from going through the motions, made it at least sociable enough to get through :)

(OOC) Think the 4 ff limit is going to be a killer for alot of elf teams without a good start - we'll have to wait and see.

Well, the horrible torture the Dead Big Guys had to endure after their shameful defeat in the first match of turney payed off. They were so scared to return home beaten again that they pretty much demolished the Shadows in the first half.

The Gods of luck were with us when we got the opportunity to blitz the opposition at the 1st kick-off. We were able to position ourselves quite well, and thegods helped out again to give the Shadows a quick turnover at their 1st turn. We simply ran the ball home.

The whole rest of the 1st half was a string of pretty bad turnovers for the Shadows, caused by 1's and double 1's, showing once again that the curse of the dark elves is strong, even in purebowl.

In the 2nd half the Big Guys forgot that elves, when luck allows, can play ball waaaay better than they can. They lazily walked down the sideline, forgetting to protect the ballcarrier, who was promptly 1d-crowdpushed. The throw in went to neutral territory and the elves faught their way to a well deserved TD. During the drive we did add another zombie to our ranks, as the evil elf Sachin decided that the big guys were far more evil than his current teammates and deserted.

In the end all is well, except that we still have to explain to this bunch of former murderers that causing permanent injuries in not nice, and in a turney often not even beneficial. The pre-match instructions by the coach to stick to BH was blatently violated, especially by Pikachu. But then, what esle could be expected from a player who spent his former lifetime playing on "Deathgerbils Revenge" for 69 games. Old habits die hard.

Onwards to Chaos for the next round. Having largely been chaos players in their former life we wonder what effect this match-up will have on the morale of the big guys. We'll see.
