“I started the game playing like a dwarf. One death, one mng and one bh in the early turns. The analogy is perfect, because then I proceed to handle the ball as a dwarf as well!!! Bolt, the new thrower, rolled 5 consecutive ones!
I needed three attempts to score, but finally made it on turn 6. Then I became overgreedy and instead of focusing on defense to hold the 1-0, i tried to score the 2-0 and instead ended up conceding a TD, 1-1.
The Blacknights retaliated and soon Eclipse was saved from death by the appo. While getting the lead, Cataclysm and Eclipse were knocked out and never came back from the bench. Then, Eurus was killed in a single block (two POWs from a non-block, non-tackle linelf).
Despite being outnumbered, the Champions showed their pride and scored after a hard-fought drive. However, the Blacknights still had four turns left to win the game. This time, however, Nuffle finally smiled upon us. The Knights failed a handoff, Bolt got the ball and threw it next to a corner, where no one could get it. The Knights tried to protect the ball and spread their receivers. Quicksand then tried to push an elf to get the ball and score, but failed the dodge. The elves got the ball to a Catcher in scoring position. Fortunately, he was surrounded by three wood elves, and was tackled by Typhoon when trying to dodge away to the end zone. In the dying seconds of the game, Rising Star picked up the ball, runned down the field and passed the ball to Bolt, who scored the winning TD.
A very disputed and exciting game. I guess I was lucky in the last three turns to compensate the rest of the game. Yashing was very fun to play with, and it does him credit to try to win the game knowing he could also lose it instead of settling down for the tie.
