A more or less uneventful bashing that the chaos took the worst part of. The Ironic Play Of The Day (or..."IPOTD") came turn 16, when a blunder by my attempts to farm the TD led to a Blitzer needing to make a Long Pass to a lineorc waiting 7 spaces away from the end zone to score and win.

The Blitzer goes for the ball...picks it up..and throws...Accurate! Caught! Happiness Will Prevail! Now the descision: Do I Go For It twice with the lineorc who has the ball, or hand it off to a lineorc within 3 spaces of the end zone? No rerolls. Do I roll two dice, 2+ 2+ or one die, 3+? I decide to go with the 2+ 2+, the current carrier is only 3 SPP away from a skill anyway. So off he goes. However, upon reaching his 5 MA limit, I note that I have dredfully miscounted, and he is still 3 squares from the end zone, unable to score. He is only 2 GFI from the closer lineorc though (his path could have led him directly there for the handoff, but ofc thinking I wouldn't be doing it, I ran a straight line for the endzone. So now, Me The Idiot had to roll both the two GFI AND the handoff in order to win. Joy Be To My Stupidity.

Lucky eh? Consider this. If I had not miscounted I would have gone straight for the handoff - and since the next die roll was a 2, I would have failed and had a tie game. It was only because I am an idiot who can't count to seven that I managed to win that game. Sort of 'the day your teacher told you about when math will save you" in reverse or something. Heh. Anyway, good game keggie, sorry if it was boring on the bash front, but my little rats have been getting mauled, it was nice to use a team that can bash and not crumple like a house of cards now and then!
