#7 Tunny Goldbiter – Dead (RIP)
The final match of the World's Edge Tournament was ugly and brutal, as befits a game between two races who despise each other.

The gold loving dwarves looked forward to the match with trepidation. Playing a superior Chaos Dwarf team with an experienced coach promised to be tough. Fortunately, there was a silver lining - plenty of crunchy hobgoblins to smash.

Fortunately, Nuffl favored the dwarves initially. The Highland Minotaur, in a fit of temporary insanity, attempted to dodge away from a dwarf, rather than smashing him flat. This resulted in turnover, and the dwarves took advantage of it to gain an excellent field position. They then proceeded to do what dwarves do best - bash and stall.

The bashing didn't quite work out, as two dwarven players were killed in the next few turns. The Troll slayer was saved by the apo, but Tunny Goldbiter, one of the team's top players, was killed by a vicious hobgoblin foul. His comrades took revenge, landing a killing blow on a chaos dwarf. Unfortunately, the apo was in fine form, and saved the ugly brute.

The stalling worked out better, leaving the Cows with only two turns to equalize. A desperate pass by a bull centaur failed, leaving the game 1-0 at the half.

The second half started with a bang, as the dwarves set to work on avenging their fallen comrade. A speedy hobgoblin was knocked out after foolishy racing into dwarven territory. Then, a lone dwarf threw a block against the mighty minotaur that had moved next to him. The desperate, adrenalin fueled block came as a complete surprise to the mino. He was knocked over and landed badly, resulting in a fatal injury.

The chaos dwarves never quite recovered. Down by two players, they found it impossible to break through the tough dwarven defense. Eventually they dropped the ball on a failed dodge, which was then retrieved by a dwarven runner. While a bull centaur was able to recover the ball before the runner reached the endzone, it was too late to score.

Final 1-0 Gooooooold!

#13 Mansson – Dead (RIP)
Through an unforced error (missed a tackle zone on my mino) I caused an early turnover allowing the dwarves to get good field position. Origami managed to stall in a scoring position for at least 4 turns, well untill his turn 7. I had 2 turns to score, and managed to get a Bull centaur in the end zone by turn eight. Threw the pass with the agile bull Gunn but the catch failed.

In the second half my offence was delayed by the bonehead on Gunn (the results of the handicap) and the death of the mino (on a 2dce block thrown by a dwarf in my favor). Eventually had to make a break for it, made a move with the break tackle bull centaur Braemor but failed the 2+ dodge.

A tough game which could have been alot different if I had payed more attention in the first turn.

Congrats to Origami winning the Worlds Edge grudge league tourny.

Quote from coaching staff "Arrgghhh, we was cheated! Our opponents, those no beard gold lovers, were very late in turning up so we had to hang around in the staduim and SOMEBODY had arranged a delivery of bugmans XXXX straight to our locker room! The boys couldn't help themselves and tucked in and got hammered! What was worse than them having to play drunk was the fact we got billed for the beer afterwards! Was a fix I tell thee!!!"
