A brutal game...

The Everliving started in offence and used a RR on a one dice blitz trying to open a hole done one side, and then missed a 4+ short pass.

The Amazons pounced, seriously injuring one Werewolf and knocking out a Zombie as they recovered the ball. The Everliving's remaining Werewolf struck back and killed one of the Amazon Blitzers who was luckily saved by the apothecary.

The Amazons continued their powerful hitting and knocked out two more Everliving Zombies as they made strong field position. Fearful of the potential carnage to be caused by the remaining Everliving Werewolf, the Amazons surrounded him and fouled him causing a stun.

Despite an 11-7 advantage, the Amazons decided it was time to score and ran in the ball when the Everliving sent two Ghouls in hot pursuit of the ball carrier.

On offence, the Everliving were not able to do much in the limited time left and were unfortunate to have one of their Zombies killed and fail his regenerate roll.

The second half started with the Amazons receiving. They formed a cage behind the line of scrimmage after knocking a few Everliving players over. The Everliving sent their Werewolf in on a blitz. With no pows on the first two dice, my opponent rerolled and got no pows again. The second block using Frenzy was a 1 dice job and it came up as a skull.

The Amazons responded with unbelievable force, with 7 blocks (one a blitz) yielding a killed Zombie (failed regen), 2 KOs, a stun, and two knockdowns. Only the Ghoul who was hit did not go down (thanks to Dodge skill). The Amazons finished the turn with a +4 foul on the downed Werewolf that caused a niggle. An amazing turn that reduced the Everliving from 11 to 7 players in one turn!

There was not much that the Everliving could do so their Ghouls ran away whilst the Amazons ran in a TD for a commanding 2-0 lead halfway into the final period.

Luck was with the Amazons today as they Blitzed on the kickoff! They attacked one side, but lost momentum when their Blitzer failed 2 GFI (1st rerolled, so 1,not 1, 1) and knocked herself out.

The Everliving recovered the ball and ran it towards their right. The Amazons had yet another amazing few turns as they not only stole the ball, but took 4 Everliving players off the pitch (their Wight was niggled on a crowd push but luckily he regenerated).

There was little left for the Everliving to do than watch the rampant Amazons score a third TD. The Everliving's bad luck continued when they failed a last turn pass for a a SPP.

A very unlucky day for my opponent. 5 casualties suffered, and 2 were RIPs, 2 were niggles and one was a normal Serious Injury. A very unfair distribution. He also got blitzed as well and with my amazing run of armour and injury rolls (so many KOs) it was an impossible ask to be competitive for more than a few turns.

The Amazons have never fouled before, but after having a player killed so early, that Mighty Blow Werewolf was just two dangerous to have around and I fouled it twice. Unfortunately it came up as a niggle which helped me (as he was out of the game) but I only needed a Badly Hurt, or a KO and then a long stall to be safe. I can certainly appreciate my opponent being annoyed at me for maiming his player.
