“well, until late in the game, the Boilers were having very bad luck..only countered by the Wrath's almost equally bad luck.
My 1st block of the game..a 3db with Big Bob, the ogre. Skul, Pow/skull, Pow/skull. no block skill..and it was like that for me most of the game.

My opponent had just enough luck and skill to get the score to 2-0 by the 2nd turn of the 2nd half.
Then, things began to slowly change. I was able to score on Turn 6 to make it 2-1..but that left me with only 2 turns to score and tie the game and I was kicking off. So, I stacked almost everyone 1 square off the LOS in the middle of the field. The DE's took advantage and ran 4 elves deep into my backfield. Yet, I wasn't too worried as I knew my only chance would be to attack the ball and not try to stop the DE's scoring.

As luck would have it, the Darkspawn thrower thrower could not pick up the ball, and it bounced next to the sideline just in reach of my guys if I could get some good blocks.

I did that, and blitzed the thrower away from the ball. Unfortunately, I couldn't pick the ball up either, and it scattered to the crowd. Some strong armed fan threw the ball back to the middle of the field,but only 2 squares short of the EZ.

The Wrath tried to set up some blocks, but failed a GFI and it was up to Eddy to pick up the ball and GFI twice for the TD. And he did!! what a turnaround for the Boilers. What looked like a sure loss turned into a miraculous tie.

Oh, and Big Bob must have been angered by his poor performance in the 1st half, as he killed two Elves (one was luckily saved by the apoth) and now has the block skill.”
