Chapter 1: Match 3
Match 3: Kraken's Minions vs. Kawaii Little Squad

The next game that the Kawaii Little Squad was against a formidable Lizardman team known as Kraken's Minions, a team with a 3-0 record who had not conceded a single point since the team formed at the time. 7,000 fans supported the Lizardmen, while 10,000 supported the Chaos Dwarfs, giving the Kawaii Little Squad a much-needed edge against this strong team even if it was a small edge.

Before the match began, Zhagraki did some research into the Lizardman teams, and noticed that they were a team of two extremes: the mighty but clumsy Saurus and Kroxigor, and the agile but fragile Skink. He was worried that the Sauruses are going to do some serious damage to the team, so he bought two Bloodweiser Babes in an attempt to improve the teams recovery from KOs. In addition, one of the Lizardmen's Skinks named Clotho had to miss this game due to a fractured skull, which gave him a -1 AV penalty. Also, they won the toss and chose to kick first.

The first half begins with some pushing of the the Lizardman front line followed by Madoka-chan grabbing the ball and head to the south side of the pitch. They respond with some pushing of their own, but their Kroxigor named Scilla rolled a Skull and a Both Down result while choosing the latter, resulting in Taniko-chan killing him. That is, until the coach of Kraken's Minions used an apothecary to turn that into a broken neck injury that gave him -1 AG, which was irrelevant in the long-term due to having 1 AG to begin with. It did remove him from the game, which allowed the Kawaii Little Squad to breathe a little bit easier.

With the Kroxigor out of the way, the Chaos Dwarfs tried to push the ball up the field, but the Sauruses proved to be too strong to break through, and they were able to knock down Madoka-chan so he could drop the ball. A Skink named Satrapes picked it up, but the Chaos Dwarfs surrounded him and knocked him down. However, the Skink with 4 AG proved to be impossible to catch by dodging, picking up the ball, then dodging twice more to escape the Kawaii Little Squad so he could score after Kotono-chan tried but failed to take him down with a blitz. At least the Skink named Nemesis was Badly Hurt thanks to Koko-chan. The half ends with the Kawaii Little Squad trying but failing to score before the next half, leaving the score at 1-0 in favor of Kraken's Minions.

The second half began with Kraken's Minions doing some pushes, then Madoka-chan managing to KO a Skink named Askalaphos with a blitz. However, the Lizardmen managed to make a good screen, protecting the Skink named Lachesis as he brings the ball to the end zone after stalling for a while to make the score 2-0. Then the next drive began with a fan knocking out the Saurus named Styx with a thrown rock followed by Madoka-chan failing to pick up the ball. They respond with inflicting a KO on Chikuma-chan and closing in on the Kawaii Little Squad. The Chaos Dwarfs tried to score, but they didn't have enough time, and the final score was 2-0 in favor of Kraken's Minions. Ise-chan did get Badly Hurt by a Saurus named Nesoi before it ended.

The Kawaii Little Squad got a rather meager 20,000 gold from their loss, but at least they didn't lose their fans. Also, Ise-chan got MVP, which could make up for getting Badly Hurt right at the end of the game. Meanwhile, Zhagraki Goldhollow was a bit torn with his purchase of Bloodweiser Babes before the match. On one hand, he was glad that the team wasn't being KO'd left, right, and center. On the other hand, he could've bought something more useful.

After the game, Ise-chan decided to do some sprints in an attempt to improve his speed so that he wouldn't be so slow. After some sprints and being beaten by Madoka-chan in a few races they had, he got himself a +1 MA boost. Other than that, the team's morale took a drop, but they had to shrug it off so it wouldn't affect their performance in later games. They wouldn't want low morale to ruin their chances of winning a major tournament and screwing up their chances of returning home, would they?
