Larva Bay Mutineers origins story

Daemons of Nurgle Blood Bowl team Larva Bay Mutineers were founded after they stole a Chaos Wharf airship to escape enslavement to their Ironbreaker masters. Coach Foremole tells their story below..

FROM THE PIT, TO HOME

How long… how long had it been since those dwarves went to the surface. How long had they avoided their duties and breathed in the fresh air, while me and my kin are stuck in the soot covered caves, breathing the toxic air, used to harvest the coal and precious minerals, meanwhile getting meagre pay and casualties rising in the thousands. Meanwhile, those same oppressors are enjoying the fresh air, drinking their fill in booze, entertaining masses and enjoying the lavish lifestyle of a blood bowl player. You know what… No more!

No more shall they reap the rewards of my kin. No more shall they rest easy while we suffer and die in the mines. Their laziness in their task is their folly, for we shall rise up. Many of my kin may be small, but when we amass, we will no longer be slaves, we will break free of our shackles, rise up above the masters, replace those ugly dwarves out in the fresh air, and enjoy everything that the world has to offer.

Blistridex Larvakin climbed down from his perch, towards the clinking sounds of miniature pickaxes digging away at the rock in the darkness. He had to speak to his first lieutenant, Ignaznir Slimegout. The dwarves mostly ignored the inner dealings down below, as long as they got their precious resources, so far Blistridex and his lieutenants went unnoticed, thinking that all they had down in the Pit were nurglings, something the dwarves think that they can easily manage.

Blistridex and Ignaznir went to their planning room. The Ironbreakers had one final game before the end of their season, where they change the guard and the chance of escape would be missed. Already the pustulence in the pit was overwhelming and the guards were beginning to take notice, there would be a crackdown after the final game against the Chaos Wharf.
The Great Unclean One unleashed a crudely soot-drawn set of plans. The Chaos Wharf always brings their travelling airship to each game, and maybe sometimes a party barge. If they were able to sneak to the pitch and steal the airship, they could get away, start a new life in a place, create a luxury island where pustulence and illnesses could grow freely, and maybe even create a blood bowl team. The Nurglings always enjoyed watching the Ironbreakers play on Cabal Vision, and hoped to be as good as them one day, wanting to go out there and play against the other teams, experience the world more than this coal and soot filled pit.

The change of the guards prior to the team marching to the blood bowl field would offer the best opportunity. They could easily overwhelm the smaller guards for the home game. At that point, it would be easy to get to the airship from the Chaos Wharf team. And then they would sail, as far as the ship would take them.
