Lonely Bob grew up in the woods surrounding Waterdeep. Like many Rock Trolls he was abandoned at a very young age and never knew who his parents were. From the start of his first memories he would use large rocks to knock out yummy birds or rabbits. As he grew he started noticing that the boulders he'd pick up were twice the size he was. That being said you can imagine his strength. One day while looking at himself in the reflection of the pond he heard the strangest little sound. It was like a bird trying to talk, he turned to see a little green "man?" with pointy ears and a long nose with sharp teeth. The little green "man" threw him some good looking fish and kept coming back day after day, every day bringing him some nice treat. Every time the little green man would come he'd start noticing some of the same sounds.
