Alas, poor Mary has left us for the wonderous bowl pitch of the Great Beyond.
She met her end during a hard fought match against the Jemaline Alliance.
While assisting a team mate on a run to the end zone, she was pushed towards the sideline and eventually bundled over the barrier into the crowd by TWO cowardly Jemaline hobgoblins.
The Jemaline fans set about her like the pack of rabid animals that they are. By the time she was recovered from the stands it was too late for the apothecary to save her.
Her teammates went on to win the match 2-0 and dedicated to victory to her, but were unable to send any Jemaline players to the Great Beyond to join her.
She was a founder member and the fastest blocker on the team. A little more work on her blocking and she would have had the makings of a great player.
Her greatest game was against Grave Fodders. An outstanding performance resulting in a casulty and the MVP award.
Even the most ale sodden among us will remember her reception AND completion on the way to a touchdown against the Green Boyz
