Shredder was the Angels first and for five games sole Blitzer and thus had to shoulder a majority of the workload for the Asphalt offense and defense. There are parallels to Leonardo, who was the Angels only Catcher in the same timeframe, but whereas Leonardo finally broke in under the constant pressure, Shredder thrives on it.
Just as young as Leonardo, just as promising, and even more athletically gifted, Shredder has the mental strength and the talent to make it far. Two Touchdowns, two causalities, and two MVP awards in five games bear witness to his character.
After a game against the Northern Dervishes, where the dwarves moved the ball downfield unopposed, safe and secure inside a cage of guards, Shredder taught himself how to Leap in order to be better prepared the next time the Angels faces such an offense.
