During his 13th match, against the Wood Elf team "Why Do I Bother", he was brought down by a tree and never recovered completely from that.

And again in his 19th match he was crushed by a member of the Chaos "Shark Chasers" and his hand got smashed.

In his 21st match Luca scored a TD.
That probably results in not retiring him so far, and he will get another chance.
Still his time has come nearly to an end; especially because Urs Flinkfuss, the only catcher of the team, suffers from a niggling now, too.
Consequently the coach plans to get a new catcher but needs to retire someone before that due to a full roster.
So; probably the next few matches will be Luca's last.

After the game against the Necromantics "Schmerztal Darkbones" (the team's 26th), which Luca could not take part due to a virus, he was retired and will from now on work as an assistant coach.
He became one of the block coaches who are responsible for coordinating the line of scrimmage.
