The Ring is my most skilled player ever, althogh no exact date on which this happened has been established. It likely happened sometime during the summer of 2013.
She became my first ever Legend on 17 March 2014, in the final match of Season XXXI. It was a successful game vs phil78's Clan MacFeegle, which the Eaters won 2-1. The Ring scored two td's, two completions and one cas, for a total of ten SPP's!
On 4 July 2014, The Ring became my first player ever to be healed using a healing potion, thus curing her of her niggling injury. It was a difficult choice, but since I'm more or less only playing WIL these days, it was clear that the potion should be used for a player on this team. My original plan was to use it to heal her or The Others if they received any further injuries. In the end, however, I decided it was better to heal her straight away, since she was just as likely to die as she was to receive some kind of stat decrease or additional niggle. If she dies, she dies - but now at least the risk is lower.
Using the potion caused a major controversy in the WIL, since, as I found out too late, using potions isn't allowed in the league. After some discussion I was given a choice of firing The Ring or being penalised 5 points at the end of the season (XXXIII). It was an easy choice, since having to fire The Ring would be a complete disaster for the team. It's a shame I only found out after I had used the potion, and I would gladly take back the niggle if it were possible.
The Ring lost her close companion and co-legend The Others on 6 September 2014 in a game vs Stonetroll's HarshNorth. She was killed by the mino Conan the Useless.
The now infamous wolf reached another milestone on 29 November 2014 (the same day on which I had earlier played my 1000th game on fumbbl!) when she passed 200 spp, as my first ever player to do so. This happened during a game vs Vesikannu's 'Putting the Wight in WIL', which I won 3-0. The Ring scored 8 spp in this game, her fourth highest score of all time.
The Ring played her 100th game on 31 August 2015.
On 8 November 2015 she was injured and received -AG but thankfully regenerated!
On 1 May 2016 she was killed, and failed regen, only to be saved in the last minute by an Igor. Before the match I had contemplated taking a wizard instead, but decided to go for safety first and got the Igor. I'm glad i did!
The Ring reached 300 SPP on 21 July 2016.
On 7 December 2016 The Ring finally met her end during this match, after more than five years on the team. She was killed by Deff the Krox in the final game of season XLII, a game which the Eaters won 1-0. She will be missed by the team, but also remembered as one of the greatest stars the league has seen.
