Town of Middenheim has one very sinister looking mansion. In one of mansions' many rooms a dark figure stands in the middle, eyes closed in pleasure. At his feet lies a body of a beautiful young maiden. She had just had the honor of being his nourishment. Other figures stand silently around the room, waiting if the master chooses to make her his Childe. Would he let her drink his blood and let her become a vampire or would he just let her die. Room echoes with the last gasps of air that the maiden manages to take - and then, silence.

With a satisfied sigh the master opens his eyes and lets his gaze wander around the room. Everyone who meets that gaze is forced to look away. When everyone's eyes are cast down, the master speaks:

"I grow weary of you. You filthy scum. You wait like vultures, hoping to become like me. I tell you this - Not one of you is worthy of becoming my Childe. You must prove your worth. And it just happens that I have just a thing in mind... My Childe Von Karnstein! Lead them on..."
