AKA The Gambits Having replaced the short-lived Exterminatus Elfshine, Spassky commented that the lean Lion warriors were particularly tasty but tended to get stuck between the teeth, these former intelligent masters of the small board prepare to shock the new Warseer league. Finally save up money for the 2nd werewolf to have a flesh golem need replacing. Skills are hard to come by. Followed by a few off-season friendlies, all of which are promptly lost miserably. Rumours spread across the broadsheets of the coach getting the sack and the team being disbanded. <b>Warseer Cup</b> Preparations could not have been worse but performances could not have been better! Heroic performances by Kasparov and stalwart shows by all puts the Gambits through the 1st 2 rounds against much higher rated teams. Unfortunately the understudy werewolf Unbecoming suffered a movement decreased, but will play on through the tournament deservedly. **Update**: Despite another great performance, the team slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat to the mighty Athletico Middenheim in the semi-finals. Not bad for the team seeded 10. <b>May 2007</b> Set in motion a dramatic chain of events. An initially friendly <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=1688425">exhibition match</a> led to the virtual destruction and retirement of the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=313415">Talons of Ulthuan</a> from the Warseer League. The coach then started himself a new team, which promptly caused the death of the infamous <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=3064079">Yorkiebar </a>and the retirement of the classic <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=261439">Warseers</a>. Maybe these necromantics do just bring death! <b>June 2007 onwards - The Warseer League Northern Warzone</b> <b>Game 1</b>: A refined <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=1722257">2-0 victory</a> vs. the Kharadrim Medics. <b>Game 2</b>: Accomplished, no nonsense <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=1729019">2-0 defeat</a> of the weakened Pro Elves Naggorite Nevermore. <b>Game 3</b>: Careful but thorough <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=1740668">2-0 overturn</a> of Deng Ham's Penthouse Playboys. <b>Game 4!</b>: An incredibly hard fought <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=1757810">2-1 win</a> over the mighty Athletico Middenheim. Unfortunately Fraunhofer took the necros apart, RIPing the solid <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=3698423">Unbecoming</a> and forcing the 2nd wolf to MNG. <b>Game 5</b>: Another tough game playing against some very strong Orcs. Didn't really stand a chance, rubbish handis, and fell to a dull 2-0 loss. <b>Game 6</b>: Nip and tuck, skillful game against the hard-hitting NZQ, resulting in a well earned 2-1 win. Thus, Never Ahand, Always Afoot secured the title for the Warseer Warzone North! <b>Game 7</b>: With the championship secured, the necros played out a fun consolation 2-2 draw against the vermin of Foul Peak Frenzy. <b>Post Season friendly</b>: Continue our incredible hex against th0r, and lead to the retirement of his undead team! |
