Buckland Banakil Royals
Roster [X2] Halfling

For decades the halflings (aka banakil) of Buckland (of the northern part of the Moot) had been the unwilling slaves of the neighboring Blood Bowl teams. Clubs came from the north (orcs and goblins who were their of Ostland), east (Vampires of Sylvania) and south (Dwarfs of Karak Varn) as the flings were far to weak and fragile to effectively defend themselves. These cruel neighbors had used these kidnapped pint sized mammals as tackling dummies and waterboys to practice against so that they did not have to beat on their own kind.

One of the captives of the Dwarf clan's teams survived the beatings long enough to learn the rules of the game. Hambut Brockhouse and his brother Lotho were able to escape from the Dwarfs and bring the game back home to Buckland. However he knew that the halflings could never stand up to a bloodthristy BB club so he enlisted the help of a few of the Treemen from the western Loren Forest to complete the Royal's squad.

The Royals nickname sported by the Buckland club represents their desire to return to a position of prominence within the hierarchy of races. The halflings think they have what it takes to earn respect for their agility and gamesmanship through sport and translate that into a society that will be acknowledged by their neighbors and famed throughout the land.

Due to their trying past the banakil of Buckland still have a resentment for ogres, goblins, dwarfs, and vampires and continue to pull out all the stops against teams of those races.
