The Wrecking Crewe were put together to compete in the <a herf="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=4705">Penal League</a>

This bunch of Inmates were put together by the Warden of Pen-Pen Prison as a way of controlling the prison population. Assuming that most of his players would die he could save the local taxpayers some cash and be seen as a hero.

Then came Paul Crewe, a former Bloodbowl player with a sense of pride. He has taken over the team and convinced them they may even be able to win a game.
