| The idyillic village of Scuttlehorn is located high in the Ventrian mountains, where huge fir trees litter slopes and tiny streams trickle down into the great Unguan river below. The quiet serenity of the Scuttlehorn is marred by only one thing, the booming voice of Darrim the Blacksmith and the crunching of bones as the local village Blood Bowl team practice on their heavily sloping ground 'The Slipway.' The team is entirely made up of the villagers and it is because of this that the team is extremely popular in the Ventrian region. Darrim trains with his friends regulalary and is always encouraging the youngsters of the village to join up, much to their mothers concern. The friendly faces of the Greenbottle brothers, the booming laugh of Ungo the Baker and the unsaid rivalry between Molko and his son are relitivley new to the world of proffesional Blood Bowl but their unique brand of comraddery and friendship will certainly win them some fans... Just how many matches it will win them remains to be seen... Tragically, Darrim the teams captain fell in a brutal match vs a team of violent gnomes. The team apothecry did all he could to revive the captain. When The team bought Darrim's body home, his mother, the local witch doctor insisted that he was not dead. Many called her crazy but with the help of the team apothecary Darrims elderly mother managed to breath life into her son once more... At a price none expected. Some of the drugs used by his mother altered his body in amazing ways. He was warped into a hulking creature with great strength and power. Darrim returns to the league with a nickname given him by the vile Scaven of Queenz Horrors... 'The Defeated.' |
