Fancying themselves the voice of multiple disgruntled generations, Alternative Living is a rag tag team of musical talent expressing themselves in the most base of sports possible... BloodBowl. Tired of being typecast as soft and decidedly unfit for mainstream digestion, these artists banded together in order to illustrate that their expressive abilities stretch beyond Orphaic capacities --- soothing the crowd through superior firepower. Despite the onfield death of numerous players in this teams' fledgling history (allegations of rampant drug use notwithstanding) they remain stalwart voices for a disgruntled demographic of youth and malcontents. Achievements: In a recent game vs those feisty, but decidedly unlucky Tiny Explosions, Kim Deal eclipsed the TD record of Lindalinius (Team Ashenvale Protectors) with 13 red zone appearances. Has anyone informed the press agents of the Protectors that it's time to go the the printers and change certain team highlights? June 17th: A memorial service will be held for Henry Rollins, died in the line of... well... holding the line. Despite repeated warnings from his anger management coach, Mr. Rollins' abusive use of hatred and spite to fuel his game (and music) finally got the better him. He will be missed by all those who needed him as their anger expression vehicle. Strangely enough, The Hulk hits theaters on the 20th.. Coincidence? RIP Henry Rollins June 18th: Service will be held for Melissa Auf Der Maur -maiden name (The Bloody Bowl tabloid will release articles of her bizarre story as pseudonymed Melissa A. D. Mye, on stands Thursday)- as she passed away fending off a wild amazon from ripping the heart out of her teamate. Her icy cool nerves on the pitch will be sorely missed by all her friends and family. On a higher note, her split from both Hole and recently-defunct Smashing Pumpkin bands will not be creating musician deficiencies in either, so fans can take heart. RIP Melissa. June 23rd: In a rather monumental judgement error, Alternative Living conceeded its first game to PAT-metro in a lopsided slaughterfest. As a result, star blitzer Kurt Kobain (in a move coinciding with the purchase of a firearm) decided to leave the team for personal reasons. Furthermore, H.R. Hudson (the teams leading non-positional player) decided to part ways, citing political differences with team management (something about the "Man" keeping the "Brothers" down). We wish them both the best of luck with their future endeavours. June 25th: The disastrous fortunes of the club continue. Both Frank Black and Joe Lally we laid to rest in a "curious" game of EXTREMELY timely chance. Word is that the club will fold based on losing a game to such inferior and poorly coached opponent. When asked for comments regarding the loss due to *vast* inferiority of numbers Alternative Living could offer "who can comment on sheer lucdicrous luck?". Obviously no one. June 29th: Just as it seems the corner was being turned on this Hell Road... East Bay Ray and Page Hamilton depart the living. Jersey #1 has been temporarily banned as the club feels the number has brought nothing but misfortune. RIP boys.
