<b>And so it came to pass....</b>

<b>...That</b> in the summer of their third year, Marienburg Athletic
fell from the heights they had scaled under dubious circumstances.
Rumours were abound of financial inaccuracies, faltering form
away from home, and a back-room staff so corrupt as would defy belief.

The team's players were at a loss, they turned to former trades
and vices, forgetting of Bloodbowl altogether and picking up where
their former lives had left off.

Yet now, a year later they make their return.

It was Coach Furious_George who sent the messages,
finding the former stars in bars, barracks and street corners,
scattered far and wide.
The message simply read:

<i><b>"The time has come to reclaim former glories,
to win back the admiration of Marienburgers,
and to revel in the wine, women and song that such admiration brings!

If your heart still beats for Bloodbowl,
meet in the Blatant Fowl Tavern in Marienburg,
the return to glory begins here!"</i></b>

Not one of the Eleven contacted failed to respond. All met at the Tavern,
and over many a mead they discussed their return.
The freeflowing Bloodbowl that had seen them claim the title
in the leagues infancy was lost to them, but through competition
they had grown wiley and cunning.

The old dog had most certainly learned new tricks...
