Hibernia cold,wet and miserable and home to one of the brightest and most revered Amazonian BB teams ever to come out of Lustria. The "Flighty Irish" as they are known to their fans all over the Old World have a rich tradition of high quality,attractive teams loved and loathed in equal measure. Sadly however the team 's fortunes have been in decline for a number of years.Originally founded when the Losertania a ship carrying famed BB team the Lustrian Lasses, ran aground off the coast of Hibernia.The team who were on their way to defend The Albion Bowl which they had won the previous year were left stranded on the bleak isle.

The current team are descendants of those original girls and the Hibernian men who were lucky enough to attract their attention. The resulting offspring were a combination of the flair and beauty of the original lasses and the hard rugged strength of the Hibernians, a formidable mix in any player.

At first the locals showed little interest in the team but success changed all that and it wasn't long before the crowds were flocking to the purpose built stadium outside North Curve a small town in the east of the country.
Who would have thought that from such humble beginnings a dynasty would emerge.Having experienced many years of glory in the NCBB and provided many renowned players for Amazonian teams the world over the Dames have fallen on hard times in recent years and success has been fleeting. However under current head coach and svengali like mentor Tim Brown it is hoped team captain Tammy Brown will lead the current crop of stars out of the wilderness and back into the spotlight. Local rag the Hibernian Herald had this to say about the teams prospects"Dere's more chance of me winning the Grand National than those wee lassies winning a game, but dey'll look good losing they're a fine bunch to be sure" watch this space.....

SEASON RIVALRY
The Dames have high hopes of finishing above their arch-rivals and nemesis The LA Ragin Cajuns.It is not fully known how this rivalry came into being although it is thought to stem from an angry exchange of insults between Dames captain Tammy Brown and Cajun "waterboy". He was alleged to have been overheard saying "Tammy Brown Mama says you're the devil." matters were compounded by Brown chanting in response "water sucks it really sucks water sucks"
In any event the upshot is an intense rivalry both on and off the field, with the Cajuns winning the Td count yet failing miserably to score a single casualty. The Dames on the other hand seem to be eneveloped in a red mist whenever they take the field against the Cajuns failing to achieve a single victory yet racking up an impressive injury inflicted tally. When asked to explain the ferocity displayed by the Dames against his team Cajun Bobby Boucher commented " Mama says they's so ornery on account of having so many teeth and no toothbrush" The saga is expected to continue in the regular season.
