This team has come from the multiverse of madness. In that universe, the Forty Niners are a famous Halfling Blood Bowl team. The NFL is played like blood bowl, and vice versa. So when nerds play table top they play NFL Bowl; and when nerds watch football, they watch players in the Blood Football League and its championship is called the Blood Bowl. It's commissioner is a vampire named Roger Goodell. The Forty Niners aren't quite the same dynasty as their conceptual universe counterparts, and are named because no halfling can be over 4'9" on the roster - trees the exception. The famous 49ers are the positional players (hefty, catcher), and the hopefuls are chalked full of failures. This was way too much to write for a bio.
