How the Rusted Roots became to exist:

Once about a time :) a young wood elf called Longear Fumbleking went out for a walk in the dark forest of a place without name. In range of a palmtree he found something like a coconut and kept it because he thought it looked good.
One day he dropped the nut that eventually started to roll down a hill. L.F. started to run after the nut that he started to love so much (he polished it and painted it so it really looked nice....) and 3 of his friends decided to run after the nut too.
On the foot of the mountain the nut stopped rollin and one of L.F.'s friends reached the nut at first and piced it up. He wanted to keep the nut for himself since it became a demanded object so a little fight started among the friends. Eventually they had so much fun fighting for the nut that they invented a game, NUTBOWL. First only a few player were found and at first there were only a couple of teams playing against each other. But with time more and more elves started to develop a great love for the game that they invented a league system within the woodelf nation.
Of course among the elven teams there were never any serious enjuries during the games (of course after the games some of the players were mistreated by fans but....)
One day they arranged a game with a leading dwarf-team and the challenging wood-elf team got killed but 2 players that remained crippled.
After that incidence the woodelf teams send their best players to create an Allstar Team that was eventually called the Rusted Roots, that now try to reach fame and honor in the BLOODBOWL LEAGUES.
