There was only one way he would have been allowed to attend as a player and that was if his father knew some guilty secret about the organisers. Immermehr scooped up the ball and looked up to see if he could make a useful pass. He saw Foulpaw and Rosewych making ground on his left so ordered Ponsonby Fell Junior to close in on them so he could go right and, then, if he had read the situation correctly, jink left behind the runners and into clear daylight.
“Thinking about the old Sidewinder Sidestep?” murmured de Palma over Immermehr’s shoulder. “Personally, I'd go for the Von Drakenborg Dogleg followed by a Summerbloom Kick-Slide…”
The Tallerhof Crows thrower turned to ask what on earth a ‘Kick-Slide’ was when de Palma’s fist, decorated with numerous cygnets, slammed into his temple knocking him out for the count.
“I prefer the Hand of Hubris,” stated de Palma, flexing his fingers and picking up the loose ball. He set off behind Fell Junior and safely away from the scrap on the halfway line."

Making their debut as a human team, the Crows fell under the spell of a travelling tradesman whose tantalising wares were all the more alluring when he was able to hypnotise his customers. They now play for him and he has a Blood Bowl franchise in his necrotic grasp.
