Slaanesh Slaughterers
Retired [X2] Chaos

Dreadthrust Putridflesh received a vision in a dream to go forth and represent his lord Slaanesh on the Bloodbowl field, to gain renown and respect for his hedonistic master. This he did gathering together a couple of fellow warriors and a gang a beastmen, first two games proved tough with a draw and a loss. Dreadthrust made the decision to recruit in some muscle in the form of Whinemaul the Troll, this seemed to do the trick as the Slaughterers went on a four game winning streak, culminating in taking the Wooden Shield 02/06 title. Slaanesh noticed this achievement and rewarded Dreadthrust with Chaos Champion status, to achieve Chaos Lord status though dreadthrust knew he would have to take the crown in one of the OCCS majors!!!

The Slaughterers good fortune ran out of them in the Middenheim Challenge 03/06, taking a first round exit against a Khornate chaos team, Slaanesh showed his extreme disfavour and aged two of the Slaughterer team as a sign that the teams performance was not good enough against a team representing his arch rival, things had better improve in a hurry!!

Another 1st round exit for the Slaughterers in the Amorical Regional Cup 04/06 against Koadahs tough Orc team Lil Drunk, was a hard fought match ending in overtime which could have gone either way, the Orcs suffered a couple of niggled players and the slaughterers buried their 2nd player Cankerflux gropewart after he rolled a skull with a 1db block and failed the resulting armour roll, getting Ripped for his efforts. The Slaughterers are undaunted though and have signed a new Chaos Warrior called Bloodfroth Grimgall too bolster the defence. The Slaughterers will be back making another attempt at taking the Middenheim Challenge title next month!!

Slaanesh finally lost patience with Dreadthrust Putridflesh, as a result he was ripped by a wood elf treeman in the first round of the Middenheim Challenge Cup 05/06, the dubious honour of taking the Captaincy has fallen to the Chaos Warrior Spiketoad Madeye, the loss of their Captain seems to have sent a clear message to the rest of the team that they are playing below their patrons expectations, they actually made the second round of a cup for the first time since February!! Spiketoads first move as Captain was to draft in new blood Fondlefire, to provide some depth to a diminishing squad size. Spiketoads first game in charge resulted in a heavy defeat against Melmoths skaven team in the 2nd round of the MC 05/06, Slaanesh has a warped sense of humour and must have enjoyed the sight of the Slaughterers trying to get to grips with the scuttling rodents, as he rewarded two beastmen with a boost to their agility, the Slaughterers may actually start to be able to play the ball!!!

Another 1st round exit for the Slaughterers in the Antipodal Regional Shield, small consolation is that they lost to the eventual winners of the competetion, after the match Rabidscab announced his retirement, the niggling injury due to a bad aging roll meant he had to go. After a month's leave to recuperate the Slaughterers will be back to have a 3rd stab at taking the Middenheim Challenge trophy, here's hoping it's third time lucky and they make it past the second round!!
