This team was formed to compete in the FUMBBL World Cup IV.

They faced a tough lineup of Amazons, Dwarves, and Humans.

They fought hard throughout, often outnumbered, always on the precipice of victory or defeat.

In the end, 3 halflings were lost and they posted a more-than-respectable record of a win and two losses, beating the Human team to take the 3rd spot in their division. Moreover, in each of the two losses, the Nationals kept in the game despite heavy casualties, very nearly achieving ties or wins at several points.

The big stars for the Nationals were Terry Bumblefoot, who made World Cup history by making an interception and handed off for a touchdown, as well as taking a blitzer from the game, and Artie Leech, who killed one of the Amazons.
