| <h5 align-"center">History</h5> <br><hr> <h6 align-"center">Founding</h6> <p>One of the sixteen teams founded at the inception of the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=4759" target="_blank">NCBB</a> league, the Owls were originally one of three elf teams in the league, the others being the Wood Elf team Athel Loren Ducks and High Elven University of Hawaii. They were placed in the Star Elimination Conference alongside <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=381900" target="wokka wokka">Michigan</a>, <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=381698" target="BBGF">Blood Bowling Green</a>, and <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=382455" target=".">IU</a>.</p> <br> <hr> <h6 align-"center">National College Blood Bowl League</h6> Season One: The Owls had a slow start, going 1 and 5 in their first 6 games. In the next 6, however, they won 5, turning their fortunes around. They completed the season with three ties, finishing with a .500 record, outscoring their opponents 24 to 20, though they suffered a number of injuries during the middle and late stages of the season. SEC champs, they met the Bulldogs in the Fiesta Bowl, but their injury-ravaged season had worn them down to the point where they could barely compete. Season 1 6/3/6 <br><hr> <h6 align-"center">Star Elimination Conference</h6> Season One: Though they struggled early in their first season, all their conference matches came in their late-season surge. Their first match was a 2-0 shocker against Michigan, which they followed by grinding out a solid but surprising win over Blood Bowling Green. Their match against IU was their first tie, as the halfling's chef wreaked havoc on the Owls' digestive systems, and the Owls were barely able to equalize late in the game. Going undefeated in conference play, they became the first SEC champs and got a boost to their BCS score that would take them to the Fiesta Bowl. Season 1 2/1/0 Champs <br><hr> <h6 align-"center">Removal</h6> Despite the fact that the team was one of the first (and few) to play all of its matches, despite the fact that the team posted a winning record and took its conference (the conference that by all logic should have gone to the team owned by then-acting league commissioner P.M.L.), and despite the fact that the players were not only sportsmanlike on the field, but excelled in their studies, P.M.L. ejected the team from league play after the first season, denying them the ability to defend their title. Strangely, the other two teams from the SEC also left, either voluntarily or otherwise, leaving the Michigan Wolferines to return alone the following season. The reason for their removal had not to do with the team, but with P.M.L.'s inability to deal with coach Walker. Walker's loud encouraging and chastising from the sidelines was too much for the commish (or perhaps it was Walker's vocal criticizing of P.M.L.'s decision making), and so the Owls got thrown out with Walker's bathwater. Walker kept the team in training in the hopes that P.M.L. would come to his senses and reconcider, but he hoped in vain.
