Like most ideas, the thought of arranging a Blood Bowl team occurred to the regulars at the Drunken Sailor inn during a mammoth drinking sessions. And, like most ideas conceived during a mammoth drinking sessions it didn't sound like such a good idea in the cold, hard, somewhat hungover light of day when they woke from their alcohol-assisted slumbers.

However this lot of plucky Halflings were a particularly stubborn bunch and they weren't going to let their lack of experience, equipment or ability to run more than three feet without needing a sit down and a restorative mug of ale to get in their way. In true pub team fashion they collected up all the usual alcoholics and wasters, persuaded Cheryl the barmaid to come and cheer for them, recruited Fat Jim the Landlord as Head Coach/Nutritional Advisor/Waterboy and set off to play. Luckily Dave had "a couple of mates who nearly made it as a pro" which turned out to be two Treeman cousins, Elmtrunk and Oakbranch. With their total team weight quadrupled and their sporting ability multiplied almost infinitely (admittedly from a very low level) the Chef's Specials were ready to play Blood Bowl (and more importantly tackle lunch!).
