Mascot: Odie the Ox History: When a visiting orc minor league team, Penny Pinchers were unable to play the the local Ostland minors, The Silver Spoons, (due to the Spoon's distinct racial views) organisers were faced with scrambling for a replacement team or face Ostland being sacked by disappointed visitor fans. Having little to no alternative they enlisted local farmers into a serviceable team. While the team was thoroughly beaten and most wiped out in that game the survivors still saw the sport as a better life to the toil and hardship of serfdom and so a new team came into being. To this day the majority of the Oxes members come from farming families around the Ostheim district who conscript their sons out in the hopes of glory and quick cash. To this end the team is not a formidable one, but by Nuffle, can they keep a beautiful playing pitch. |
