The Thirteenth Seers formed after Warlord Siki Varmint of clan Skyre made bloodbowl illegal in his growing empire. This was an understandable move on Siki's part as he had often been forced to leave around 10% of his army in hospital after allowing them to play one another at the brutal sport in the past. However... The Thirteen Seers of the Blood Bowl Council of ratmen have long believed that the only way the ratmen can earn the favour of the Horned One is by playing and winning blood bowl matches! Indeed, some of the Seers on the Council would even go as far as declaring that the survival of all ratmen depends on it!!! Thus a secret team was formed with only the most trusted servants of the Council of Thirteen appointed... To make it to the team, each candidate had to explain the Council why they had applied, what they would bring to the table and what their overall vision of a dream team consisted of. If the Council of Thirteen deemed their ideology and understanding of the Theory of Blood Bowl to be correct and consistent with their own, the players were submitted to a series of increasingly demanding physical tests. The survival rate for these tests (start to finish) was just under 1 per cent. The battle scarred survivors began training after 3 days of reprieve, eager for the bittersweet glory that lay ahead... To this day, Warlord Siki Varmint does not know that deep under his underground Fortress, there is a team of hardened blood bowl veterans training to represent his army on the pitch in the hope of gaining the approval of the Horned Rat! The tide of vermin rolls forwards... |
