Prologue - Knights of Old Back before the days of Blood Bowl, the human kingdom of Aroniel fought great wars in its defense against terrifying foes and many were drawn to the blood lust of invading this fruitful and prosperous kingdom. Orcs, Elves, the many horrors of chaos and yes even other human kingdoms have all spilled blood for the conquest of Aroniel. Many died trying to defend it as well but at the end of every bloody conflict, the Knights of Aroniel stood above all in it's defense. To be a knight in this great kingdom was of the highest honor and those that were bestowed with it were glad to fight and if necessary give their lives in it's service. Rigorous training and countless battles had proven the knights' mettle time and time again which instilled awe and fear in the would be conquerors of Aroniel. Such a reputation spread quickly to neighboring lands and attacks became far more scarce with each passing year. Soon there was nothing left for the knights to defend from and after many generations of war, the once proud unit charged with the defense of the great kingdom found itself idle and aimless. The legends of the knights prior glories were forever etched in the minds of their foes, but in truth the knights were looked upon as a relic by the people of Aroniel. Many of the old knights in the service faded away to the passage of time and the new recruits in this peaceful era, with no combat experience and a lack of leadership, were but a shadow of the mighty footsteps they followed. The kingdom finally knew peace, but for the new knights left to carry on the warring traditions of old, there would be still be blood yet to spill.
