Formed in the height of excitement around the newly created #DLE, a semi retired head coach in the Stirland region agreed to revive Blood Bowl in the area. With initial financial backing from the local merchants hoping to bring commerce to the local economy, the team sought out local players to build the basis of the playing squad. Based on the livery colours of the region, the team will play in Forest Green and White

As the league requires they only had to recruit four local players and the rest will be supplemented from the mandatory enlistment draft of all the young players who submitted themselves to the DLE draft process. These four local players are: Zach Thomas, Reshad Jones, Chad Pennington and Jason Taylor. The Scimitars have leant heavily on the founding members of the team to spur them to success but as of season 7 none remain.

They play in the Karl Franz Conference and will take their place in the KFC South from season two onward. Their opponents in the division will soon become rivals, playing twice a season. The teams they will face off against most are the Remas Eagles, San Luis 49ers and the Rotenbach Razorbacks.

After their first year in DLE, they finished with a 7/2/5 record, narrowly missing out on the play offs. Year two saw a fall from the contenders to also rans as the team bottomed out with a 2/1/13 record. Season 4 (3rd season in the league) was a joyous season with the Scimitars taking a 7/6/3 record to the play offs and eventually losing in overtime to the Nuln Gunners in the Wild Card Round. Season 6 saw the franchise's first KFC South division title and a first round bye after a dominant 9/4/3 record but injuries hit hard and quickly in week 16 and the divisional round of the play offs against the Razorbacks then the Classics, which put pay to the season.
Stadium

"The Scabbard" is a former abandoned small castle in the Stirland countryside, just outside of Wolfsbach. The once decrepit construction was being used as a prison up until the Scimitars formed and has been hastily transformed, with the grass being relatively sparse and the turf hard on impact. Wails from the prisoners who have not been dealt with still ring out but the hope is the home crowd will drown out any such noise!

the local fans of Blood Bowl are said to be very excited about the prospect of a local team and massive banners are seen hanging from house to house, with local businesses going as far to sell smocks and scarves in the colour of the team.
Coaches

Head Coach: Coach Kyle O'Walsh is a stubborn man, fit to lead and little else. He inspire his players pre game and at half time but leaves most of the Blood Bowl tactics and specifics to his co-ordinators.

Defensive Co-ordinator: Inventor of the "Bear" defense, the attacking mindset of Buddy Bryan is well respected in Blood Bowl circles for nearly four decades. Unfortunately, since Bears were outlawed as human players, Buddy has had to redirect his creativity. Through his great experience, he has always tried to mold the players he has into the defense he wants, all while molding the defense he runs in to the players he has currently. This flexibility serves him well in the ever changing rosters beset by deaths and retirements. The turnover is key the Buddy's defense and coaches that unless they score on a turn over, it really doesn't count!

Offensive Co-ordinator: What Buddy is to defense, offensive coach Madamme "hypnotic" Gase is the opposite. She wants smashmouth Blood Bowl and that's what this bossy lady will get. Formerly the "Madamme" of a well visited establishment in Stirland where naughty boys go to get punished, she brings her dominance to "whip" her side of the team in to shape. The most controversial of the triumvirate of coaches on the team and many players would fall out with her but fear the lash of her tongue or any implement within her reach. Her offense is therefore well drilled and ready to take out their frustrations on the unsuspecting defenses of the league

General Manager: The man who picks the groceries for the team is the slimiest of weasels. Jimmy "Greased" Pamm is up to trade anything and everything in order to get what he wants. No one leaves negotiations with Jimmy feeling in anyway clean or sanitary.
