The financial administrators of the Crooked Moon tribe are the most feared of all the many goblin bureaucrats that rule the tunnels below the World's edge mountains. Many have fallen prey to their complex and incomprehensible small print and one such victim was noted cheat and coward Ratbag (known as a nasty git to his friends, of which he had none). Caught trying to fiddle his fungus taxes, Ratbag was hauled into the terrifying Chamber of Questioning before the high administrators themselves. The ruling was harsh - payment of 99.1% of all property owned followed by immediate dissection by squigs. However sneaky Ratbag had figured out a loophole - the Law of Conquest. Invoking this ancient Goblin right, Ratbag called on those present to witness, citing paragraph 172, line 18 of Da Big Book of Rulz, most scared text of the administrators, that if he, Ratbag The Magnificent, returned to the council within one year with a trophy won in battle the judgement would be void and he could go free. His cunning plan was to enter a team into the Blood Bowl and so avoid any risk of actual serious injury (having never actually seen a Blood Bowl match). The administrators acquiesced to his request but just to be on the safe side they sent a couple of their troll enforcers along to ensure Ratbag didn't leg it.
