One night many, many times the bear awoke from sleep, Olukder came to a ridge. From here he spotted a black kite just about to land on a rock nearby. Then - a bright flash and a thunder, so loud the Dark Elves in Naggaroth could have heard it, a lightning jolted down and hit the bird. Olukder ran to the rock, and there the kite lay, trembling all over, feathers scattered around the rock. The bird would surely die. Olukder picked it up to carry it to a better final resting place. He barely stood up before the kite suddenly rejuvenated, as if nothing had happened, and off it was, soaring to the skies. Olukder gathered the feathers, for they had clearly been sent by the gods. 16 in total there was, and as the times the bear awoke from sleep went by, the feathers never seemed to wither or get harmed.

Then, at a meeting of Kuj tribes, Olukder happened to come across some youngsters playing a game in a field. They called it blood bowl. They got into talking and Olukder was told that they called themselves "The Kites", and that they would ideally be 16 players.
Depicted above is Jebeinoyan, from
the Youngster Kites, the inheritor of Leader Feather,
and first to be favoured by the gods.

16 players... 16 players!... Olukder knew - this was the gods again. He told the leader of the youngsters about the Kite and the feathers, then he handed over the 16 feathers to the team, telling them never to play without them in their headgear.

So far, a heap of thick rugs and glittering jewelry.

A badlands rogue camel-rider and his camel have been taken as slaves. The rogue is extremely deadly with poison darts and near-invisibility backstabs - even more so since we removed his tongue and threatened to peel the skin of his buttocks so he'd never ride a camel again. The camel is slowly getting accepted among the tribes' own.

Share some of your special, really good, really bad, awfully terrible players here...

Qara and Buqa are twins, not identical, oh no, but equally strong. They were born on the tundra during a stampede of chaotic wilder-yacks. The witch gave them the names of "dog" so that the evil spirits would take no interest in them. The two boys were the only surviving members of that small Tong tribe that night. They were fostered by the Kuj.

In game the players "communicate" in an odd shriekish whisteling, much like an eagle or KITE.

Their uniforms have never been washed. Infact they are soiled in their livestocks' manure, especially pony dung.

Nor have any of the players ever been washed.

The Kuj Tribe is famous for their daunting kite flying practice. They got the idea from Cathay, who used it in military warfare. They again copied Nippons' ninjas.

Before the Team changed their name to Kuj Black Kites, They called themselves "Young Kites". Their logo was an archer flying a kite, NOT the bird, but their favourite pastime, riding flying kites.

The Kuj Tribe and especially Blood bowl players receive gifts (mutations) from the gods of chaos. For some reason these mutations manifest themselves somewhat differently than they normally would, and the Hung never use the word mutate or mutation. They call them "gifts". A mutant is either a gifted or a favoured. The later being the ones who have been gifted thrice. Here is a list of the most usual gifts the players receive.

Prehensile Tail: AKA "Flaming Chain Flail and Kite Sickle"
A long tail of chains splitting into two most spectacular weapons - a ball with spikes, and a sickle in the shape of a kite. Some players become specialist and capable of making a diving tackle.

Very Long Legs: AKA "Legs Of The Crane"
Only Darksouls receive this gift, and only after acquiring the leap/crane's flight skill. The legs quite simply become that of a crane, but much stronger.

Extra Arms: AKA "Swirling Possesed Cloack"
This gift allows for the Darksouls' possesor-spiritdemon to act on it's own and help with picking up, catching or intercepting the ball. Only Darksouls receive this gift.

Big Hand: AKA "Big Sleeves"
The demon-spirit has taken hold of the sleeves of the Darksoul's kimono.

Horns: AKA "Horns Of The Bull"
Very common for the Tong to receive this one.

Two Heads: AKA "Hydra-blooded Favourite"
Another common gift, especially for those who have shown some knack with dodging.

Tentacles: AKA "Witch's Flail"
The tribe's witches are held in high regard, and in return they often times return to quide and aid the tribe. They most often posses these flails and become banshees. They shriek and howl as the wielder graps hold of opposing players.

Foul Appearance: AKA "Pig Head/Dog Head/Yack Head"
There has been times when the Gods' ways have been somewhat unclear - a couple of years ago coach Lugder Vishudai's cousin's head was transformed into that of a chicken. Lugder Vishudai himself is a proud Gopher.
