Hailing from the iconic city of Übersreik, the Unicorns have competed in the DLE for over a decade, originally as the Hargendorf Unicorns from the state of Nordland, before relocating in season 12 to the glamour of the Reikland.
Between Season 2 to 9, legendary Coach Murker, originally from the northern wastes of Naggaroth, built a franchise that went from a record of 5-3-5 to Wild Card qualifiers to two time Divisional Champions. However, this success only brought other teams sniffing around and he departed to the Quenelles Chargers in rival league DLE2.
Unknown Coach Reoch joined as the directors looked to fill the hotseat. However, after one win in 11 league matches, he was shown the door.
Norse Coach Horekim agreed to help the team get through to the end of the season. Horekim was tempted away from the gritty city of Nuln, where he had led the Nuln Gunners to the KFC East title twice in two seasons. The Unicorns limped through to the off-season, where the new boss could try to sign some talent and make the squad his own. The experienced coach turned around the team’s fortunes, from 31st in the entire League to the Play-Offs, where they were narrowly defeated by the Aldente Scimitars. His record of 5-6-3 in regular season games was enough to appeal to other clubs and he left to pursue other ambitions.
To fill this vacancy, the board turned to Coach Tango, a rookie coach with big dreams and new ideas. Unfortunately, the sport proved to be a cruel one with 10 players being killed in only 32 matches. The club and coach agreed to part ways.
With Season 14 on the horizon, the Unicorns have been unable to tempt any experienced or renowned coaches to take on the challenge. Forced to look elsewhere for a novice to cut their teeth in the DLE, they turned to former player/coach for the amateur Übersreik Diplomats, Coach Wilson.
Twice KFC North Divisional Champions, the Unicorns are yet to fulfil their glorious promise. Perhaps this will be their year!

The colours of the Unicorns' iconic jersey and helmet were inspired by the colour of the verdant Teufel river during summer, the white skies blanketing the area, and the silvery peaks of the Grey Mountains which strike out south of the city.
The club are proudly sponsored by the preeminent name in stylish, fashionable, functional atheletic clothing; Le Gob Sportif
, who equip the players and coaching staff with a wide range of jerseys, boots, berets, cravats, puffer jackets, and gloves.
The Unicorns famous Teufel green and white jersey is available to purchase in all good branches of Griff's Sporting Goods or Killywhites for just 65 Gold Crowns. Made from the finest Rottfurt wool, there's nothing better to show you're part of the herd.
The incredible career of Unicorns catcher, TY Hilton
, came to an end early in Season XII with a fatal block during a friendly match
against Bel Aliad Griffins. The loss of Hilton, along with 9 other Unicorns players, resulted in a disappointing season with the Unicorns finishing dead last
with a record of 0-4-13.
