‘Unknown’ (as his name suggests) is somewhat of an unknown commodity. His basic ability and strength speak for themselves but aside from the fact that he is quite obviously elven, little is known about his history. It is noted however that every so often he is seen to go into fits prior to a match, his follow team mates quickly hurrying him away beforeanyone can see. It is also thought that this player infact plies his trade throughout the Bloodbowl circuit and few doubt the fact that he can drag any team he plays for to victory from the very jaws of defeat.

For all intents and purposes Volke is indeed an ogre. He naturally has huge brute strength and is resilient to almost anything an opponent can throw at him. What few know however is that this giant is infact a grey wizard, and a powerful one at that. Due to the ban on all magic users from playing (imposed by the BBL) Volke is forced to constantly create a field of illusion around himself in order that he won’t be recognised, leaving his wits slower than usual. This unfortunate addition does however have that advantage of adding greatly to his disguise!
A former Reiksguard master, Felix is now a prominent merchant and well known philanthropist. Despite not being quite as fit as he was in his younger days, the old devil can still runs rings around many opposition and if that fails, go through most as well. Karr’s genial attitude and generous nature bond the team together. Where as their leader is an ‘unknown’, Felix is very much the public front of the Keepers of Ulgu.

Gurni is a high ranking dwarven engineer who originates from none other than Slayer Keep. Despite not being a member of the bizarre warrior cult himself, Gurni is a dervish on the pitch, able to break skulls or run the ball with the best of them. His relationship with ‘Unknown’ is one based very much around mutual respect and it is rumoured that this dwarf is the only one of his kind to have learnt of the team captain’s mysterious past.
Originally a peasant from an area to the east of Marrinburg, Bequin was befriended by ‘Unknown’ and hired as his aide. Although only a youth, Bequin is already a match for most other players on the pitch, his unnerving air often able to put off all but the most persistent of attackers.
Ilith is infact an elven princeling from Ulthuan. Weighed down by the various equipment he insists upon wearing in order to prevent his fragile frame from being damaged, he is both slower and less agile that his more experienced kin.

Brother of Bjorni and apprentice engineer to Gurni, this is one dwarf who you don’t want to get on the wrong side of. Quite apart from the fact that he is capable of headbutting hard enough to shatter a steel helmet, his brother just might my willing to give you a second helping.

Brother of Snorri and apprentice engineer to Gurni, this is another dwarf who you don’t want to get on the wrong side of. With a neck thicker than most mens thighs, his fearsome ‘torpedo’ block is rightly feared.
Other than being a personal friend of Felix, Joules (or rather ‘Captain’) Dalante is a Reiksguard officer of the highest calibre. Unwavering in the face of any opponent, he is just the man you want to assist when you’re trying to stop a marauding minotaur.
X.O. to Dalante and similarly useful in a tricky situation. Full of ideas of chivalry and gallant conduct, you won’t find Bran kicking you when you’re down. However, that often just means he’s waiting for you to get to your feet before he snaps you in half.
Again Henrik is a wizard who simply refuses to sit on the bench conjuring the odd ball of fire to fling at someone. Clad in far too much armour than could ever be considered appropriate (even for Ilith), Rorkan often passes out before he can even step onto the pitch, his magical powers well and truly annulled due to the lead content of his equipment. His old bones are still strong however and when he does manage to stagger forwards, nearby players don’t fail to notice the glittering spark in his ancient eyes.
A true blueblood, Rodderick considers every other player beneath him and consequently is often battered into the ground himself. Still, a broad shouldered Reiksguard Knight is not someone you want to be facing off against in a defensive line.

Yet another mage who plays in the Keepers of Ulgu, Buganhargan (or rather Bugan Hargan) is a master elven magician. Disguised behind many layers of genuine living wood and several potent veils of power, he hits with tree-mendous (what a god-awful pun) force for someone who is millennia older than any other member of the squad. Quite content to take life as it comes, Bugan tends to wander around the centre of the pitch waiting to drive opposition into the pitch.
A half-elven boy, Effen is yet another example of armour-gone-mad. His insistent parents practically bind him with padding in an attempt to prevent him from getting hurt. Not that this stops him from weaving past opposition as if they weren’t there.
