Grimdale earned his nickname 'VB' in a game against the Dubious Doobies, a team of not so nice dark elves. It was a huge bash fest in the middle of the field with many of 'VB's teammates trying to down their brews while hit the elves with their other hands. Grimdale suddenly found the ball in his hands. He looked up and saw an enormous Keg of VB waiting in the elves' endzone. Off he went straight for it, dodging elf after elf and scoring... his VB, and a touchdown!

In a game against an Orc Horde from the Southern Wastes, Smithy gained his prominant limp, this was sustained when he pumped too much juice into his knee and his knee cap burst when he tried to go for the ball. The wonderful barmaids at the Alcoholics Alehouse were able to stitch him up but his playing days are numbered. But Smithy takes comfort in the fact that he can then retire to his home brew. Namely, Smithy's Smasher Ale.

In a bruising encounter with some chaos beasts, Frome, had his chair taken out from under him at the halftime pub break. This resulted in him popping his knee. He vows to contine to the death, but that may be the drink talking.
