Prospero Rodriguez is the current vice-captain of One in the Skink, and has this role mostly because of his huge muscle mass - equal to some of the kroxigors. While he may not always be contributing with casualities, the threat of Prospero on the field requires players to keep in mind his skill at bringing opponents down, and deal with him accordingly. While he may not be contributing directly, Prospero's indirect contributions are more than enough to earn him his position as vice-captain.

Despite being a lowly skink, Jacinto Cornelio Gomez has become one of the most feared players on the pitch not for his agility and nimbleness, but for his strength. It's not known how he developed his massive muscle, but Jacinto combines the fleet-footedness of your average skink with the sheer muscle mass of your average saurus. While Elian may be the one dodging through groups of Khemri or Orcs scoring the touchdown, it's Jacinto who charges into the cages built up and smashes the ball carrier.

While he isn't the vice-captain of the team - coach Mateo Arbusto insisting that the captaincy and vice-captaincy be split between a saurus and a skink - it's widely understood that should Elian be unable to show up for a game, Jacinto will be taking his place as captain.

Elian Sanchez has quickly emerged as One in the Skink's premier player. His unparalleled agility allows him to scramble through the smallest of holes opened up by his larger Saurus compatriots, and his nimbleness and hand-eye coordination allow him to throw passes down the field much like an elf can, despite his shorter stature.

Since joining the VBBL, Elian Sanchez has been the team's captain throughout all of its games. Barring some sort of injury to his person, it seems likely that he will continue this role until he's too old and/or unfit for the role.

UPDATE: Elian suffered a grievous injury in the VBBL Season 1 Semi-Final vs the Beautiful Blodge. While he should still be able to play, the injury has made it harder for him to get onto the field, and may cause some problems. Worries have come up about his health that were previously not there, especially as he is hurt badly enough that he will be unable to show up on the field for the final (though rest assured, fans, he will be cheering from the sidelines!)

Plácido Salvador Rivera is one of the oldest skinks on the team - he was around when the team was nothing more than a bunch of lizardmen getting ready to play some ball on the local grounds. Despite his age, he's still one of the deftest skinks on the field, and shows an ability to take hits that would otherwise drop most skinks and even some sauri. It's more likely that his age is going to keep him off the field rather than an injury by another player - even if that player is a mummy or black orc.
