Jason Voorhees is a notorious serial killer known for his seemingly immortal ability to avoid permanent capture or death as well as his remarkably prolific career as a murderer which has seen his victims’ death toll number in the hundreds.

Jason was born on June 13, 1946 to Elias and Pamela Voorhees. He was born with Hydrocephalus, causing him to be deformed and consequently teased by other children. He was left unattended by the camp counsilers and drowned in the lake. He now takes revenge on all camp guests... killing them.

He wears a 1950s-era Jacques Plante goalie mask, though his physical appearance otherwise dramatically varies throughout each movie. Jason murders his victims using a variety of methods and weapons, but most he is synonymous is the machete.

Michael Myers was raised in the small, mid-west town of Haddonfield, Illinois. At age 6 Michael murdered his oldest sister, Judith on Halloween night. It was always unknown why he killed her; or why he spared his baby sister... After being locked up in Smith's Grove Mental Hospital, Michael escapes on October 30 and head home to Haddonfield. At least, that's where his psychologist, Dr. Sam Loomis assumes he is going. Michael, who is now 21, returns home and bides his time. That night he tracks down his baby sister, Laurie Strode (who has been adopted and is oblivious to her violent roots) and proceeds to murder 2 of her friends. He pursues her that entire night (which continues on in Halloween II) but eventually fails. Over the next twenty-four years, Michael killed and killed, believing that his sister Laurie is dead (car crash). He even kills his niece and any person who is attached the Myers/Strode families and anyone who stands in his way. He finally realized Laurie wasn't dead and caught up with on the twentieth anniversary of their original encounter (Halloween: H20). Laurie escaped that event under the impression she'd finished her brother...until four years later when he caught up with her and killed her. It is unknown what became of Michael after Halloween: Resurrection.

Frederick Charles Krueger is the product of the violent rape of the nun Amanda Krueger by one hundred maniacs. Called Freddy, he was constantly ridiculed for his well known and strange heritage. It was then he started murdering small animals and as he grew into adulthood, he turned his masochistic behavior on himself. After suffering abuse from his stepfather for many years, he brutally murdered him with a razor. It was after child services took his daughter away that Krueger became a child killer earning the name "The Springwood Slasher". After he was captured for his string of grizzly murders, he was unexpectedly freed on a technicality. The enraged parents of Springwood, OH then took the law into their own hands. They followed Krueger to a building where he took his victims and ignited it with gasoline into a raging inferno. However, no one expected the end result of this act. Freddy's soul was so corrupt that it was decided he could be of use to dream demons imprisoned in hell. When he was promised eternal life in the world of dreams, Freddy could hardly refuse. Ever since that night, Krueger has taken his revenge on the parents of Springwood by stalking their children through their dreams. Each time he is able to twist what would seem to be a normal dream into his own brutal imagination's delight of terror. Some children have escaped thinking they have defeated him, only to have him rise again sometime later. There is only one documented case of Krueger meeting his match. While in hell, he was able to awaken Jason Voorhees, of Camp Crystal Lake infamy. Freddy was then able to use Jason to strike fear into the kids of Elm Street. This plan backfired when the masked killer could not be shut down. This led to a big confrontation both in the dream and real world. Freddy still lingers in the pits of hell with no indication if or when he will return.

Thomas Hewitt is the main killer of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake series. He was born in a slaughterhouse and left to die in a dumpster. He was discovered by Luda Mae Hewitt while she was searching for food to feed her poor family and she took him home to raise. It was soon discovered that Thomas had a degenerative facial disease that discolored his skin and rotted off his nose. Due to this disease Thomas was treated badly by his peers, which may have caused his reclusiveness lack of emotion in the series. It was revealed that Thomas was also self-mutilatory and made masks out of animals as a young child.

Thomas would later take employment in the local Slaughterhouse (which was, ironically, where he was born), hiding his disfigurement with a small muzzle mask. After the slaughterhouse was condemned, his boss and another employee attempted to drive him out, insulting him by calling him a "dumb animal" and a "retard." Acting on a long-burning rage, Thomas beat and killed his boss with a sledgehammer and stole a chainsaw which would become his iconic weapon. After his Uncle Charlie assumed the identity of the local sheriff, Thomas would began torturing and butchering the victims that Charlie would usually spot and at times kidnap. After torturing and killing one victim, Thomas skinned his face and used the skin as a mask, another trademark that earned him the moniker, "Leatherface."

After one of his victims severed his arm and escaped the police discovered the Hewitts deeds, Thomas attacked and killed two police officers and fled. He was never captured and the case today remains open.

Lecter is a brilliant psychiatrist and cannibalistic serial killer. In The Silence of the Lambs, feature Lecter as one of two primary antagonists. In the third novel, Hannibal, Lecter becomes the main character. His role as protagonist continues into the fourth novel, Hannibal Rising, which explores his childhood and development into a serial killer.

Jigsaw usually builds deadly traps for his subjects, which are often a symbolic representation of what is seen as a flaw in the person's life. Jigsaw calls these tests "games", and tells the person the "rules" of the game either by audio or video tape. The rules are tasks that the person must perform in order to pass the test and survive; however, the tasks often involve extreme self-mutilation, although Jigsaw on occasion has used psychological torture for the subject's test.

Otis B. Driftwood was born December 23, 1929. He was horribly neglected and abused by his parents, who didn't even give him a name. He later wrote that he committed his first murder at the age of 13.

He was a drifter for much of his life, travelling over the country from Wilmington, Delaware to Hurst, Texas. In the small town of Ruggsville, he met Cutter a.k.a. Captain Spaulding, and was soon living with his new friend's family, whom he had nicknamed The Fireflys. This family consisted of Cutter's wife, whom Driftwood called Mother, her two sons and his daughter, Vera-Ellen, with whom Otis formed an immediate bond and nicknamed Angel Baby.

Bates suffered severe emotional abuse as a child at the hands of his mother, Norma, who preaches to him that women and sex are evil. The two of them live alone together in an unhealthy state of emotional dependence after the death of Bates's father. When Bates is a teenager, his mother takes a lover, thereby making him insanely jealous. Bates then murders both of them with strychnine and preserves his mother's corpse. Bates develops dissociative identity disorder, assuming his mother's personality, repressing her death as a way to escape the guilt of murdering her. He inherits his mother's house, where he keeps her corpse, and the family motel in Fairvale, California.

Captain Elliott Spencer became the lead Cenobite "Pinhead" in 1921 when he opened the Lament Configuration puzzle box.

Pinhead (so named because he has freakin' pins in his head) is an evil straight from Hell, who enjoys administering endless amounts of pain and suffering to those who inadvertently summon him by opening the Lament Configuration

Pumpkinhead is an instrument of revenge, a creature of evil that is summoned into being in order to get vengeance on the wronged party.

Some dirtbiker kids accidentally kill this guy's kid and takes off. This really pisses him off. Instead of calling the cops, he visits this old witch who conjures up a spell to raise up an evil dead creature the local yokels call Pumpkinhead. Once summoned from his pumpkin patch grave, Pumpkinhead goes around slaughtering all the dirtbiker kids with a vengeance.

Is a malevolent, shape-shifting, child-killing monster (referred to simply as "It") lurks in the sewers and storm-drains. In 1958, preteen children Richie Tozier, Mike Hanlon, Beverly Marsh, Bill Denbrough, Eddie Kaspbrak, Ben Hanscom, and Stan Uris (who call themselves the Losers' Club) each have horrifying encounters with the creature, which changes its appearance to take on the form of each child's biggest fear (but its most prominent form is that of a sadistic, balloon-wielding clown called Pennywise).

The character is a supernatural undertaker who turns the dead into zombies.

The Tall Man's henchmen include flying spheres, also called Sentinels that contain a lethal pair of spiked blades and a drill that excavates the victim's brain, lurkers (dwarves in robes who are made from corpses), gravers (zombies dressed in nuclear suits armed with chainsaws), and the reanimated dead.

Charles Lee Ray is your standard serial killer except for the fact that he knows voodoo and then uses that voodoo to transport his spirit into one of the popular Chucky dolls before being killed. After revealing himself to the young boy who owned him, Chucky begins a rampage of death to silence the kid and take his body for his own.
