Canderous Ordo, also known as Mandalore the Preserver, was leader of the Mandalorians in the time following the Jedi Civil War, and the first Mandalore since the end of the Mandalorian Wars. A veteran soldier, he fought during both conflicts as well as in the Great Sith War. He joined the Jedi Revan in his quest for the Star Forge and traveled with the Jedi Exile during the First Jedi Purge. He united the scattered clans of the Neo-Crusaders, even as he stood beside the Exile against the Sith Triumvirate. After the destruction of Malachor V, Canderous parted ways with her and awaited Revan's return from the Unknown Regions readying for a war with an unknown threat.

Rohlan Dyre, nicknamed "Rohlan the Questioner", was a former Mandalorian Crusader commander who fought in many battles of the early Mandalorian Wars but deserted them to find answers pertaining to the war itself with the help of Arkanian Offshoot Jarael.

Jodo Kast was a member of Alliance SpecOps who became a bounty hunter in the time of the Galactic Civil War. In his suit of modified Mandalorian armor, Kast was sometimes mistaken for the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett, a fact he capitalized on when possible. Valuing credits over ideals and loyalties, Kast worked for the Empire, Black Sun, the New Republic, or anyone who would pay him.

Cassus Fett was a Mandalorian Field Marshal who lived during the time of the Mandalorian Wars. Fett was an aide-de-camp to Mandalore the Ultimate, leader of the Mandalorians, and he was highly influential in areas throughout Mandalorian society. Fett spearheaded the promotion of the Neo-Crusader movement, a sect of Mandalorian society with a more regimented structure and standardized armor than the hitherto dominant Mandalorian Crusaders. By exerting control over the clans and providing a means of converting conquered cultures into Neo-Crusaders, Fett turned the Mandalorians into a war machine intent on galactic conquest.

The origins of Endorouthas C'Boath were largely unknown in the galaxy; Republic Intelligence was unaware of where he came from, and even few of his fellow Mandalorians knew, though it was known that he was Human. After the close of the Great Sith War and the defeat of the Mandalorians in it, a new Mandalore rose to power, styled Mandalore the Ultimate. Mandalore, looking to redefine Mandalorian identity, called together a number of talented advisors with abilities beyond battle and war, amongst them C'Boath. C'Boath became Mandalore's aide-de-camp and top strategist; he was highly influential, both on the battlefield and off. He helped convert the disorganized rabble of the Mandalorians into an efficient, regimented organization.

Mandalore the Indomitable, translated as Te Kandosii Mand'alor in Mando'a, and referred to as Mandalore by foes and allies alike, was a male Taung who served as warlord of the Mandalorian Clans prior to and during the events of the Great Sith War. In the year 3,996 BBY, believing that the seven worlds of the Empress Teta system—under the control of a dark side society called the Krath—had been weakened by numerous campaigns, Mandalore the Indomitable led his Mandalorian Crusaders in an invasion of Tetan space. What followed was a confrontation with the Sith Lord Ulic Qel-Droma, leader of the Krath military, the outcome of which saw Mandalore the Indomitable swear a personal oath of allegiance to Qel-Droma and pledge his Mandalorian army to augment the Sith forces.

Originating from the planet Concord Dawn, Jaster Mereel embraces the carrer of Protector at a very young age, but his life radically changes when he kills another guard. In spite of the fact that the victim was corrupted and that Jaster had acted in his mandate’s right, the story made great noise among the people and he was imprisoned, and then juged hastily. Condemned for murder, he nevertheless profits from a certain indulgence an dis exiled from Concord Dawn.
This period of his life is largely ignored. It is believed that he wandered from planet to planet without real goal, and living on small jobs. In such circumstances, the former Protector integrated a galactic group of mercenary reputation : The Mandalorians.
He then undertook a rigourous training and several years of effort, but Jaster was certainly one of the best and finally became a full Mandalorian. He then rose in the hierarchy of the organisation and gained respect from his companions. According to the modern mandalorian tradition, the chief was the only person capable of electing the next. Mereel was finally designated chief of the Mandalorians.

The Basilisk war droid, known in Mando'a as the Bes'uliik or "iron beast", was an intelligent battle droid, originally produced by the Basiliskans but most famously used by the Mandalorians.

When the Mandalorians conquered the Basiliskan homeworld, Basilisk, around 3,997 BBY and subjugated the intelligent Basiliskans into simple-minded Lagartoz War Dragons, they also seized the designs of the droids and continued to manufacture them. The droids gained infamy during the Mandalorian Wars, when Mandalorians using the droids as mounts terrorized a large swath of the Galactic Republic.
