Lenwë Ancalimë was born in the elven kingdom of Caledor and was raised becoming of a noble lord of the region. His father hoped that Lenwë would become a great warrior on the fields of battle and lead vast armies to drive out their dark elven kindred from the northern province of Nagarythe - and perhaps even further.

Lenwë himself, however, had never felt the urge to lead armies... Surely someone else could do that much better than him! Neglecting his military training, he joined up with some of his friends to form a team of the sport commonly referred to as "Blood Bowl".

When word of this reached his father there was a fierce argument between the two. The result was that Lenwë left his fathers halls, fuming with anger. The day after the fight he left the shores of Caledor and Ulthuan, on a ship headed east - to the Old World and the big Blood Bowl arenas.

Nienna, the eldest child of the Lord of Dorthonion. She was a strong, young elf with considerable skill with blade and spear. Nienna was often thought to be even more than a match for her father's guards in a fight. She was promised to Lenwë Ancalimë since several years and had during that time come to love the young elven noble deeply.

When word reached Nienna of Lenwë's exodus from Ulthuan, she did not hesitate for long. She too left the shores of her homeland (much to the dismay of her family and friends) and travelled to the Old World in search of her beloved. She did not have to search for long, since Lenwë had once, long ago, told her of his wild plans. Thus she could easily guess which port Lenwë would arrive at... and that was where she also found him.

Lenwë and the Flames of Caledor had just played their first few games of Blood Bowl in a small, local league with mixed results. There had been one death already and numerous injuries in the team, and they were several elves short in numbers. Nienna offered to join the team and after a short time of consideration, Lenwë accepted.

Her skills did indeed make a huge difference on the pitch. Not only did she boost the team's spirits, she also gave the team some much needed speed and strength. With Nienna in the team, the future looks bright for the Flames of Caledor...
